As a Sox fan I didn't like Fever Pitch that much, mainly because I just can't believe Jimmy Fallon in the lead roll.

However what was very interesting was the film was shot and set to go when the Sox started their playoff run in 2004. The Farrelly Bros (huge Sox fans) re-wrote the ending on the fly and got permission to film on the field if the Sox won the Series.
Yeah, they figured it would just be another heartbreaker. But instead it gives hope for all the 0-3 teams out there.

Personally, I don't have a problem with Fallon. Maybe it's just basking in the continued glow of 2004 that keeps me happy!
